2 - Old Winery and Rich Flat: Original ground and grave in this location reported to be one of the richest in California. It was so rich that a miner's committee limited claims to 25 square feet. The winery built of rock in 1874 by Bernhard.
3 - Travelers Rest: Built in 1851. Operated as hotel in the gold mining days. Private home until 1864 and then sold to Benjamin Bernhard. Converted grounds into winery and built tunnel connecting hotel to brick storage houses. The winemaster and his wife both died in 1902. A daughter carried on until 1906.
6 - Placer county Historical Museum: The museum has a fine collection of early day relics. Located on the Gold Country Fairgrounds which was first formed in 1889.
7 - Benjamin Bernhard Distillery 1869: Here a 500 gallon Copper still produced brandy that was aged 20 years before being sold.
